Our mandates :

Support socio-economic development by involving area stakeholders and encouraging local development by and for the community.

Promote creating and/or retaining jobs in the area.

Create a healthy business environment and support local development initiatives in order to broaden our community’s ability to adapt to the new rules governing socio-economic development.

Actively contribute to starting up, expanding, modernising and acquiring for-profit businesses in the area by providing companies with financial and technical support.

Dave Lavoie
General Director
Holder of a Master’s degree in Business Administration (MBA), enterprise management profile, Dave Lavoie has more than 15 years experience in the fields of communication and economic development. After a stint as journalist for media organisations in eastern Québec, he worked for four years at the Matapedia local development centre (Centre local de développement de La Matapédia) and nearly six years as manager of the wind power niche of excellence (Créneau d’excellence éolien) in Gaspé. An enthusiastic traveller, he notably worked in China at the Beijing Olympic Games in 2008 and for Immigration-Québec in Paris in 2011. Appointed as general manager of the Gaspé SADC in January 2018, he intends to make his dynamism and experience available to the community in the MRC de La Côte-de-Gaspé.

Maude Dufresne
Administrative assistant
Holder of a bachelor's degree in Translation from Université Laval, Maude Dufresne has several years of experience in the non-profit sector and has developed a great knowledge of businessesmand organizations in La Côte-de-Gaspé. Her experience in administrative management, her versatility and her attention to detail make her an ally of choice for the SADC de Gaspé team. She supports the team members daily in their administrative tasks, in addition to informing clients and referring them to the right resources to carry out their projects. Passionate about local development and proud of her native Gaspésie, she has the values and mission of the SADC at heart.

Sandy Beaulieu
Financial Analyst
An Administration graduate, Sandy Beaulieu has been a member of the SADC team since 2004. She has successively occupied the positions of youth advisor and financial analyst. Backed by her years of experience in working with the region’s entrepreneurs and her open-mindedness she is a trustworthy individual with whom you can discuss a business opportunity. Today, she manages investment funds for enterprises in the MRC de La Côte-de-Gaspé. Her role is to coach and advise promoters of all ages as they engage in their entrepreneurial endeavours. Her ability to listen and analyse coupled with her excellent knowledge of the economic community make her a choice ally to accompany you in your business projects.

Alexandre Jacob
Financial Analyst
Alexandre Jacob holds a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration (B.B.A.) from Université Laval and wishes to put the knowledge he has acquired to good use in his native region. He is currently studying to become a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA), an internationally recognized order. Obviously, Alexandre is tremendously interested in financial analysis. Over the last few years, he has worked for several administrative businesses where he has perfected and diversified his knowledge. Thanks to his dynamism, courtesy and interest in finance, Alexandre will be able to build strategies that take into account the different external environmental parameters that can affect your company's performance.

Catherine Dunn
Economic development officer
Holder of a degree in both administration and psychology, Catherine Dunn has extensive experience in coordination, project management, and marketing in the cultural and community sectors as well as in private business and retail. Through her professional experiences and her volunteer involvement, Catherine was able to contribute directly to the development of several projects in the territory of La Côte-de-Gaspé, and it is this mission that she intends to continue with the SADC de Gaspé. Her role is to support entrepreneurs and organization managers in order to support local and sustainable development initiatives. She believes that listening to organizations is the key to a good understanding of the issues and challenges they face. Catherine also coordinates the mentoring cell.
